Easy Fruit Brownies
These Brownies are a little bit healthier than your typical brownie, and they are quick and easy to make. They taste much better than the ones you buy in the box also. Use any combination of dried fruit you like!
Easy Fruit Brownies
1/2 C flour (use whole wheat if you like)
1 C Sugar
6 T baking cocoa
1/2 c butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c dried cranberries, raisines or cherries (or any combination of dried fruit)
Place flour, sugar and cocoa in an ungreased 8×8 baking pan. Stir with fork until combines; set aside. In a small bowl, blend butter and eggs well. Pour butter mixture into flour mixture. Stir with fork, scraping corners and sides until wet and dry ingredients are completely combined. Stir in dried fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until center feels set when lightly touched. Cool and cut into squares. Makes 16.

Carl -:) My husband can eat the entire pan also! I have to take a small piece immediately, because the second I walk out of the room forget it!
Fruit and chocolate can be good together if it is the right combo.
I tried these. I used dried apples. My husband said they were the best brownies that he had ever eaten. I am trying them with dried peaches next.
Glad you liked them, Karen!
