My Little Cookbook Free CD or Download

I am trying to figure out exactly what this is exactly. I believe it is a way to organize your recipes. It says you can scan in old recipe cards, print, fax or email recipe, and has free technical support. Perhaps it is a recipe book creator. It also has 10 recipes already included that cannot be deleted. It only works with Windows XP or Vista.  It only holds thirty recipes, but they have an extended version you can buy if you want to hold more. It does not say how much that costs, but it says you can click to upgrade at any time.

I may get it and check out the recipes at least, or see what it is all about. It looks kind of interesting at least for free. Anyone who is interested here is the link http://www.ladybugproducts.com/mlcbhomepage.htm

Better Tasting Yogurt!

Published by cindy23 under Misc., Recipes Edit This

Yogurt is great for you. We know it is a good source of dairy, and we all have heard about probiotics lately! There are so many people though who just cannot stand the taste of yogurt. I really do not mind it at all, but I feel that the ones on the market are really too sugary and it defeats the purpose of them being healthy for you. Sure, I can buy those with  sugar substitutes but those are not any better for you. What I like to do is make Greek Yogurt. Yes you can buy that already made, but mine tastes better. I buy two containers of regular fat yogurt and drain them over night in a colander with two paper towels or coffee filters. The longer it sits the thicker it will be. It takes the whey out and it is not as tart. I then mix it with fruit, nuts, or protein powder. Its really great to make nice thick smoothies also. I hardly ever eat yogurt any other way.

If you are sick of the store brand yogurts give it a try, you can come up with a variety of new creations!

My husbands Valentine Gift - Kim and Scotts Pretzels!

Published by cindy23 under Appetizers, Florida, Misc. Edit This

I do quite a bit shopping from QVC and most of the time it is food related. I have bought Mrs. Prindables Apples (more than once), crab cakes, and cheesecakes. I love their food choices, and they deliver fast. I love that you can watch the episodes live on your computer, how convenient when you are travelling. Laughing Almost every holiday throughout the year, I buy my husband some food item from QVC and he has not been disappointed. For about six months now I have been reading the reviews on Kim and Scott’s filled pretzels, and they have been about fifty fifty. Some say they are great, others say there is not enough filling and not worth the money. Well I bit the bullet and ordered the fourty-eight piece pizza sampler for him for this Valentine’ s Day. It was hard to hide the rather large box that came so he opened it early. Last night he popped a few in the oven and to my dismay it was not the sampler, which was to consist of pepperoni, sausage and the works. They were all CHEESE! How do I know for sure, my husband kept heating up one after another to be sure. Ok, he actually loved them!

I called the QVC customer service department to verify I had ordered the sampler, and the nicest woman told me I did and it must have been a packing error. My husband was in the background saying the cheese was wonderful. She was laughing and said to tell him he could finish those up and his sampler would be on the way followed by his free Nutri-System kit. What a perfect line! She said to enjoy them all!

He better pace himself! The pretzels are a geat snack, appetizer, or a side to a soup or salad for a light meal.

You can check them out on the QVC website or on Kim and Scotts own website. They even have dessert pretzels, and many other unique flavors.

I love everything about FOOD!

Published by cindy23 under Misc. Edit This

Since I am Italian, I grew up with food. I still love food, everything about it. I love to create recipes, search for them, I love going to different restaurants, and I love all different kitchen gadgets.  This blog will have a little bit about everything when it comes to food. Some days I will share recipes I have received from family and friends, and some I have created myself, I will post some restaurant reviews from my travels, and I will discuss some gadgets I could not live without, and some I bought anyway that I probably could have lived without but bought anyway. My husband is my taste tester, and he pretty much eats anything, my dogs, well they do too. They have been known to run around the house with flour all over them, that is a good sign to my husband that something is baking in the oven. I hope my friends will send me some of their favorite recipes that I will be able to feature here, and give me some reviews of restaurants in their areas.  Until tomorrow.
